MD Helicopters appoints ADAC Luftfahrt Technik as service centre
MD Helicopters has announced that ADAC Luftfahrt Technik GmbH, in
Bonn-Hangelar has been approved as an authorized Service Center.
Eurocopter officially hands over its 1,000th EC135 helicopter to the ADAC
This latest purchase brings the organization’s air rescue fleet up to a total of 51
aircraft, including the BK117 and EC145 in addition to the EC135. In total, these
aircraft have clocked up no less than 550,000 flight hours to date and saved numerous lives.
Becker intercom system installed in 1000th EC135
Becker Avionics is pleased to announce the recent delivery by Eurocopter Germany GmbH
of the 1000th EC135 to ADAC Air Rescue with a Becker Avionics digital audio and intercom
system, DVCS6100, installed. The EC135 light twin-engine multi-purpose helicopter, along
with the Becker DVCS have been very successful products over the last decade.
ADAC sells two EC135P1s to UK operator
German motoring and EMS operator ADAC has sold two of its early ambulance-role Eurocopter
EC135s to a British operator. The two EC135P1s will be the first P1 models on the UK register –
prior to serial 0501 being imported for the West Midlands Police, every 135 in the UK had had
Turbomeca power, and by that time the P2 and T2 were the standard models.
UK: First EC135P1 registered for WPD
WPD Helicopter Unit have now registered their first EC135P1 as G-WPDB. Previously D-HAIT
with German EMS operator ADAC, it is expected to be joined by sister ship G-WPDA from the
same source within days.

The German ADAC Luftfahrt Technik GmbH (ALT) stumbled upon their new corporate software in
a rather unconventional manner: as current systems mapped out helicopter maintenance processes
in an inadequate or complicated way, project managers simply made enquiries to similar
companies.
